Applying to Duke: Preparing for College

It's true that you don't really feel the paperwork, stress, and nervous excitement of getting ready for college until close to the end of your high school career. That's when you're ready to send off those applications, or are anxiously waiting by the mailbox for that (hopefully) thick envelope. But preparing for college is much more than the flurry of activity during those last few months. It actually starts well before high school, and it isn't too early to start thinking about what kind of college experience you're looking for and how the process works.

In this section you'll find some information on standardized testing, advanced placement courses, and other resources we find useful when planning for college. Additionally, we've provided links to Duke's own academic enrichment programs for 4th to 12th graders. No matter what school you ultimately attend, we hope you find the information here helpful.
